Acelero Learning South Carolina is seeking a part-time Facilities Assistant to help maintain safe, clean Head Start classrooms and surrounding facilities. The role covers custodial tasks, basic repairs, and site support to ensure compliant, welcoming spaces for children and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Hands-on experience in general repair, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and facilities maintenance preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, clean, high-quality facilities including classrooms and common areas.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting).
• Support facility operations and equipment; relocate furniture during moves or remodels.
• Maintain outdoor spaces, playgrounds, and parking areas; inspect for hazards.
• Provide program support by transporting food and materials to Head Start sites.

Your work ensures that our centers remain compliant, well-maintained, and aligned with federal, state, and Head Start Performance Standards—ultimately helping children thrive in beautiful, well-cared-for spaces.## **Your Role**As a Facilities Assistant, you will support the daily upkeep and safety of multiple Head Start facilities, including classrooms, offices, playgrounds, and outdoor spaces. You will perform custodial, maintenance, and repair tasks to ensure our centers operate efficiently and maintain compliance with licensing and federal Head Start requirements.
