Job summary

Evangel's Dickinson campus is seeking a part-time Facilities Assistant to perform custodial tasks, grounds maintenance, and setup/teardown for weekly services and events. Under the Campus Pastor and Central Facilities Manager, you will support ministry activities, manage basic maintenance, and help keep the facility safe and welcoming for guests.

The role emphasizes teamwork with a friendly staff, requires physical ability to lift furniture, and offers the chance to contribute to the community

Qualifications

• Be a dedicated follower of Jesus and an active Evangel attender.
• Attend weekly leadership and staff meetings.
• Physically able to lift and move furniture often.
• Strong organizational, people, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Custodial duties including vacuuming, restroom cleaning, and waste removal.
• Maintenance such as snow/ice removal and basic repairs.
• Event setup and teardown for weekly ministry activities.
• Support in emergencies and general duties as assigned.

Job Description

Evangel exists to connect real people to a real God. We are one church in multiple locations including campuses in Bismarck, Garrison, Online and more to come! The church is about one person, Jesus, but it is composed of many different kinds of people, and we are always looking for quality people to join the team.

Position Summary

The Facilities Assistant is under the direction of the Campus Pastor and Central Facilities Manager and is responsible for performing the following duties: custodial, ground maintenance, and room/event setup and teardown.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Custodial Duties
  • Vacuum and clean floors
  • Restroom cleaning
  • Equipment Cleaning
  • Waste removal
  • Window Cleaning
  • Support ministry activities by performing room/event setup and teardown
• Maintenance
  • Manage snow and ice removal
  • Assist with Spring landscaping
  • Manage routine maintenance (AC filters, Fire suppression checks, etc.)
  • Assist with remodel as needed
  • Lawn and garden care
  • Tree and bush trim
  • Become knowledgeable of the location of all emergency shut off valves and related emergency procedures
  • Performs other duties as requested
• Events
  • Manage the set-up and tear down of weekly ministry events
  • Be available to assist in cleaning/maintenance during key weekends
    • Ex. (Easter, Christmas Eve)

About Evangel

Evangel was started in 1928 because two brothers had a passion to reach the community of Bismarck for Jesus. Through the years, Evangel has grown into a church with a regular weekend attendance that surpasses 3,000 people joining across all its campuses. The church is served by a dynamic group of Elders and church staff who give direction and oversight to the church.
