Job summary

Calnetix Technologies is seeking a Facilities and EHS Manager to lead site operations, safety programs, and environmental compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will drive improvements in ergonomic safety, maintenance reliability, and regulatory readiness while coordinating with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and HR.

The role requires 7–10 years in facilities or related fields, with a technical degree preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of relevant facilities, maintenance, safety, environmental compliance, or industrial operations experience, including leadership responsibility.
  • Experience managing facility maintenance teams, building systems, utilities, contractors, service vendors, permits, inspections, and facility improvement projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, hazardous waste, emergency response, and applicable local regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, electronics, machinery, or precision manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead site facilities operations, maintenance programs, and EHS activities to support a safe, compliant, clean, and reliable work environment.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, training programs, inspections, audits, and records in accordance with company, local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, Cal/OSHA, fire code, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, air quality, stormwater, wastewater, and other environmental and safety requirements.
  • Conduct workplace safety inspections, risk assessments, job hazard analyses, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action follow‑up.
  • Manage emergency preparedness programs, evacuation plans, drills, first aid supplies, spill response readiness, and business continuity support activities.
  • Oversee facility maintenance, preventive maintenance, repairs, utilities, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, security, janitorial, landscaping, and other building services.
  • Plan and manage facility improvement projects, space planning, equipment moves, contractor activities, and capital or expense projects related to facility infrastructure.
  • Select, coordinate, and manage vendors, contractors, service providers, permits, purchase requisitions, work orders, and related budgets.
  • Maintain required EHS records, permits, inspection logs, training records, SDS systems, waste manifests, injury and illness documentation, and regulatory reports.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Human Resources to resolve safety concerns, improve ergonomics, support equipment installations, and reduce operational risk.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to 5S, workplace organization, energy efficiency, waste reduction, environmental performance, and safety culture.
  • Prepare and present facility status, EHS metrics, incident trends, compliance updates, project plans, and resource needs to leadership.

We are seeking a Facilities and EHS Manager who is expected to maintain a proactive safety culture, ensure regulatory readiness, manage facility-related projects and vendors, support operational continuity, and drive continuous improvement in workplace safety, environmental stewardship, facility reliability, and employee engagement.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Ability to work in an office, production floor, machine shop, assembly, warehouse, utility room, roof area, outdoor area, or other facility environment as required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs or ladders, access mechanical spaces, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
  • May occasionally lift or move materials, tools, supplies, or equipment up to 50 lbs with appropriate assistance or equipment.
  • May be required to respond to facility issues, alarms, inspections, contractor activities, or emergency situations outside normal business hours.
Salary Range

$160,000 - $190,000
