Mott Community College is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant instructor to lead clinical and administrative skill instruction. The role includes hands-on lab supervision, lecture delivery, and alignment with national credentialing standards and Michigan healthcare regulations.
The position requires current CMA/ RMA/ CCMA certification, BLS, and an Associate Degree in Medical Assisting or related field, plus 3 years of ambulatory care experience.
Provides instructional leadership, clinical simulation training, and hands‑on laboratory instruction for students enrolled in the Medical Assistant Program. Responsible for teaching administrative and clinical skill sets aligned with national credentialing standards ( AAMA , AMT , NHA ) and State of Michigan healthcare regulations. Prepares students for entry‑level practice in outpatient clinics, physician offices, and ambulatory care settings.
Direct academic and laboratory supervision of students during course instruction, skill check-offs, and clinical lab sessions. No direct employee supervision.
Varies based on course assignments and departmental need; may include day, evening, or weekend lecture and lab sessions
