Voices for Voices in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Licensed Behavior Analyst to provide professional learning to administrators, educators, and parents in applied behavior analysis and related instructional methods. The role includes classroom demonstrations, data fidelity checks and collaboration on PBIS/MTSS initiatives.

The position also involves developing FBA/BIP plans, supporting IEP goals, and supervising Registered Behavior Technicians to promote student outcomes within the general education

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis in clinical or public education settings.
  • Holds or is eligible for a Virginia teaching license with SPED endorsement; BCBA license required; LBA in Virginia is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop materials, training and provide resources for professional learning to administrators, educators, and parents/guardians in ABA and related methodologies.
  • Assist and consult with administrators and teachers in data collection, fidelity checks and intervention matching.
  • Work with teachers in classroom demonstrations, support, and PD delivery including large and small group trainings.
  • Collaborate to provide professional development and advance tiered interventions with FBA and BIP support.
  • Collaborate with school professionals to support students with tiered interventions.
  • Collaborate, consult, and coach staff in IEP development to promote student development and access to the general education curriculum.
  • Support division wide strategic initiatives and participate in PBIS and MTSS meetings.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Develop materials, training and provide resources for and provide professional learning to administrators, educators, and parents/guardians in applied behavior analysis, and/or other evidence-based methodologies related to addressing the needs of students with behavior difficulties.
  • Assist and consult with administrators and teachers in collecting and analyzing data; conduct fidelity checks to provide feedback; and facilitate the process to identify an intervention match between identified needs and specific behavioral and instructional strategies.
  • Work directly with teachers in a school providing classroom-based demonstrations, collaborative and one-on-one support, and facilitating teacher inquiry and related professional development as well as providing small and large group presentations and training.
  • Collaborate with school-based staff and administrators to provide professional development, engage in ongoing work in furthering the tiered approach for behavioral interventions and social and behavioral skills instruction and assist in developing functional behavior assessments (FBA) and behavior intervention plans (BIP) to support students.
  • Collaborate with school-based professionals (school psychologists, counselors, etc.) to provide a system of support for students in need of tiered intervention.
  • Collaborate, consult, and coach instructional staff in developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) designed to promote students’ educational, physical, and/or social-emotional development in order to access the general education curriculum.
  • Collaborate and support division wide strategic initiatives.
  • Participates in school based Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) meetings, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support meetings, Pupil Services Student
  • Support Teams, Equity Team meetings and child study meetings.
  • Supervision of Registered Behavior Technicians.
Education

Bachelor’s Degree required

Experience

Minimum of three years of experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis in the clinical and or public education setting.

Licenses and Certifications

Holds or is eligible for a Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in one or more areas of Special Education preferred
Board Certified Behavior Analyst License required, License to Practice as a Behavior Analyst in Virginia (LBA) required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with effective, evidence-based instructional methodologies, such as multisensory and/or structured instructional approaches
  • Knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, and materials of specially designed instruction
  • Knowledge of Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) school division mission, goals, and organization preferred.
