Job summary

System One in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Software Engineer to advance FACETS Extensions and Application Development for healthcare payer platforms. This contract-to-hire role blends onsite and remote work in a hybrid environment, with standard 40-hour weeks.

You will design, develop, and support FACETS-related components, APIs, and integrations across SDLC, collaborating with product owners and QA in a regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• Strong software engineering experience with OO languages (Java/.NET).
• Experience with relational databases and advanced SQL queries.
• Hands-on experience developing and supporting APIs and integrations.
• Experience in enterprise SDLC, testing, release management, and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Support FACETS Core Consolidation through application development and system enhancements.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain components for FACETS-related processes and claims workflows.
• Develop and support integrations including APIs, web services, file interfaces, and batch processes.
• Participate in all SDLC phases: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, release support.
• Conduct code reviews and follow enterprise development standards.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis to implement sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA, and stakeholders to refine requirements.
• Support performance, reliability, and enhancements within a highly integrated healthcare environment.
• Contribute to technical documentation and deployment procedures.
