Job summary

Access 2 Interpreters, LLC is seeking Spanish language interpreters for on-site, face-to-face interpretation in Columbus. You set your own schedule and select assignments from a constant pool available around the clock, including weekends and holidays, with most requests during business hours.

Applicants must be located in Central Ohio, hold a high school diploma, be eligible to work in the United States, and pass a federal background check plus a 10-panel drug screen at no cost.

Qualifications

• Must be located in Central Ohio and eligible to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Pass a Federal Criminal Background Check and a 10-panel drug screen at no cost.
• Provide proof of at least 40 hours of accredited interpreter training.
• Provide Certification of Bilingual Proficiency or complete an approved evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face interpretation services on-site (not video or phone).
• Interpret accurately between English and Spanish during assignments.
• Manage schedules and accept assignments based on availability.

Access 2 Interpreters, LLC, is the largest local interpretation & translation business in Columbus providing interpreters and translators locally and nation-wide. Our main office is located in Downtown Columbus.

What you need to know:

• Your bilingual skills are in high demand!
• As a contractor, you decide your own schedule!
• Assignments are available 24/7/365! (Most assignments are requested during business hours.)
• Take as many or as few of our available assignments as you can!

Requirements

All applicants must:

• Be located in the Central Ohio area.
• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Be eligible to work in the United States.
• Pass a Federal Criminal Background Check based on fingerprints and a 10-panel drug screening (at no cost to you).
• Provide proof of program completion from an accredited interpreter training of at least 40 hours (e.g. Bridging the Gap, Access 2 Interpreters' "Access Academy", Court Interpretation, Certificate or Degree in interpretation from an accredited college or university).
• Provide Certification of Bilingual Proficiency or pay for and complete a 3rd Party Bilingual Fluency Evaluation through an accredited testing and evaluation organization.
