The Visual Group is seeking a Mechanical Drafter/Designer to support the design and prefabrication of exterior building facades in Allentown, PA. You will produce precise drawings and 3D models, collaborating with design, manufacturing, and project management teams to ensure accurate fabrication and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent drafting experience in architectural/structural design.
• Experience with mechanical drafting in architectural/structural environments.
• Familiarity with design, 3D modeling and multi-stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed mechanical and architectural drawings using AutoCAD and Revit; SolidWorks considered when appropriate.
• Develop and modify 3D models to support prefabricated facades using light gauge steel.
• Read and interpret shop drawings to ensure alignment with specs and design intent.
• Prepare drawings for CNC router operations, especially AutoCAD drawings.
• Collaborate daily with Design Team Leader and other teams across design, engineering, manufacturing, and management.
• Incorporate design changes and feedback promptly and accurately.
