Job summary

Washington Construction Co. is seeking a skilled Facade Engineer in Washington to design, develop and manage building facades. You will work with architects, contractors and other engineers to ensure the facade is structurally sound and visually appealing.

The role requires a Civil/Structural engineering degree and at least 3 years of facade experience, with strong CAD skills. You will visit sites, prepare drawings, specs and cost estimates, and oversee fabrication and installation while keeping

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in facade engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of CAD software for drafting and design.
• Familiarity with building codes, regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop building facades according to architectural plans, structural requirements and safety standards.
• Conduct site visits to assess building conditions, understand project requirements and provide technical support.
• Develop detailed construction drawings, specifications and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors and other engineers to ensure all design elements are integrated smoothly into the overall building structure.
• Oversee the fabrication and installation process of building facades.
• Monitor project progress to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards and budget constraints.
• Provide technical advice and support to resolve any issues that arise during construction.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, advancements in materials and techniques related to facade engineering.
