Job summary

Heintges Consulting Architects & Engineers P.C. in New York, NY is seeking a C.A. Phase Facade Architect. The role focuses on façade design, inspection, and construction administration, with field work and site investigations at high-rise projects.

Requires 2+ years post-graduation in architecture/engineering, experience with facade inspections, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit. On-site reviews, coordination with teams, and licensing pursuit are expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of full-time work experience post-graduation in architecture/engineering
• Experience with facade inspections and high-rise projects is a plus
• Experience in historic preservation or restoration including masonry is preferred
• Experience with roofing and waterproofing design and inspection is desired
• DOB filings and TR-6 reports knowledge is beneficial
• Comfortable inspecting from scaffolds and working in the field
• Willingness to travel/test labs 3+ hours away
• Strong time management across multiple projects, both office and site
• Accurate drafting and redline interpretation; ability to communicate via hand sketches and CAD
• Pursuit of Architectural or PE licensure; authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Engage in Construction Administration phases
• Review contractor shop drawings, calculations and submittals
• Compare installed work with shop drawings and docs
• Inspect progress on site and conduct field reviews
• Perform inspections from exterior scaffolds and lifts as needed
• Attend regular design, construction, and owner meetings
• Witness laboratory and site performance testing
• Write inspection reports with photos and notations
• Review deliverables for quality and accuracy
• Occasionally work nights, weekends, or after hours for inspections
• Develop and analyze facade and waterproofing systems
