Job summary

Parkview Health in Huntington, Indiana, seeks a skilled maintenance professional to handle routine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and support facilities operations.

You will perform preventative and corrective work orders across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, including ice makers, pneumatic tubes, doors, boiler plant operations, and building finishes, while assisting training and lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED.
• Two year certificate or degree from a vocational or technical institute, preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license is required.
• Four years previous work experience in maintenance or a related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance procedures and troubleshoot equipment.
• Assist in training and orientation of existing and new staff.
• Participate in lean initiatives and department projects.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance work orders across electrical, mechanical, plumbing or HVAC failures.
• Maintain and service equipment and systems such as ice makers, pneumatic tube carriers, HVAC, doors/openers, boiler plant operations.
• Maintain building finishes through drywall finishing, painting, staining, and wall coverings.

Assists with training and orientation of existing and new staff. Makes recommendations for process improvements, participates in lean initiatives. Participates in projects assigned to the department, performs all required preventative and corrective maintenance work orders, troubleshoots problems with facility equipment involving, electrical, mechanical, plumbing or HVAC failures. Maintains and services equipment and systems such as ice makers, pneumatic tube carriers, HVAC systems, doors/automatic openers and assists in the boiler plant operation. Maintains building finishes by performing drywall finishing, painting, staining and repair and application of wall coverings.
