Position Summary:
Assist in supervising a staff of facilities maintenance technicians who perform maintenance services, implement preventive maintenance programs, and perform energy maintenance repairs for retail stores and company facilities, buildings, and grounds. Desired Previous Job Experience/Education:

  • Senior Technician
  • Refrigeration/HVAC maintenance experience
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and manuals

Minimum Position Qualifications & Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years proven management experience within a maintenance organization
  • Proficient skill level using Microsoft Office
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • EPA Type 2 Certification
  • Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel independently (up to 25%)
  • Level 7 - 5+ years proven management experience within a maintenance organization and proficient in all essential job functions

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform all functions and duties of the maintenance role with direct guidance and oversight from the maintenance manager.
  • Assist in managing maintenance budgets, service levels, and repair effectiveness.
  • Partner with the maintenance manager to provide oversight for company and EPA regulations associated with refrigerant usage and manage to ensure compliance.
  • Identify the training and training resources needed for technician staff to comply with EPA, OSHA, and company standards.
  • Assist in developing and executing the division's equipment break/fix maintenance and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Manage third-party contracted maintenance service as directed.
  • Reduce energy costs by incorporating best practices into maintenance technicians' daily activities.
  • Take immediate action with appropriate technician(s) regarding potential refrigerant usage issues and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure maintenance software best practices are being utilized to drive efficiencies.
  • Support construction and minor capital teams with project scoping, design criteria, and quality control.
  • Coach maintenance technicians to follow Facility Engineering's safety standards and training by providing support to the safety coordinators' directives.
  • Manage company best practices for inventory management in the maintenance facility and service vehicles.
  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports.
