Job summary

Roundy’s Supermarkets, Inc. in the Midwest seeks a Maintenance Carpenter to support our store facilities across Wisconsin. You will perform carpentry work in fresh and prepared foods areas, install and repair shelving, doors, flooring, and fixtures, and coordinate with store teams to minimize downtime.

You will report to the facilities team and assist with preventive maintenance and reporting. A valid driver's license and ability to lift 25 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• General carpentry experience in food retail or commercial facilities.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to follow schedules and adapt to changing priorities.
• Proficient with Windows-based tools and basic computer programs.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Install drywall, tile, cabinet repairs, doors/windows, cement work, acoustical ceilings and locks.
• Submit time and inventory reports on schedule via company programs.
• Perform preventive maintenance in stores at least twice per year.
• Help keep maintenance costs within annual budgets.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with/without reasonable accommodation.

Desired Previous Job Experience

• General carpentry experience especially in food retail and/or commercial facilities.
• Potential Career Path from this position:

Minimum Position Qualifications

• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced work environment and a willingness to help all members of the department.
• Flexibility to handle ever-changing scope of assignments and projects.
• Ability to work a variety of schedules as required (including nights, weekends and holidays). Overtime may be required.

Essential Job Functions

• Complete commercial carpentry skills such as installation of drywall, ceramic and vinyl floor tile installation, cabinet or shelving repair, door andwindow repairs or installations cement work, acoustical ceilings and locks.
• Complete and submit accurate reporting of time reporting and vehicle inventory by scheduled dates via company computer programs.
• Perform preventive maintenance in assigned stores at least twice per year.
• Ensure maintenance expense (by account code) of assigned stores meet annual budgetary guidelines.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
