Job summary

Airtronics LLC in Tucson, AZ seeks an experienced Fabricator/Manual Machinist to weld, machine, and assemble parts for commercial and government projects. Candidates should perform precision milling/lathe work, fabricating complex geometries, and building tooling. DOE compensation; US Citizenship required; benefits include 401(k) and health coverage.

Position involves working with ferrous and nonferrous alloys, precise set‑ups, and routine deburring and finishing on various components.

Qualifications

• Experience in SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW welding of mild and alloy steel, aluminum alloys, and stainless steels.
• Mig and Tig Skills required.
• Perform mathematical calculations required to fabricate complex geometries.
• Proficient in tooling, jig, and fixture design and fabrication.
• Ability to run a manual milling machine as well as manual lathe.
• Be able to trim, file, grind, deburr, buff and smooth surfaces.
• Ability to solder, bolt, rivet, screw, clip, caulk or bond component parts to assemble products.
• Be able to operate a manual mill and lathe to build tooling.
• Good understanding of set‑up techniques.
• Must have well rounded understanding of ferrous and nonferrous alloys.
• U.S. Citizen requirement.

Airtronics, a manufacturing and machine shop facility with both commercial and US Government clients, has an immediate opening on its team for an experienced Fabricator/Manual Machinist

Experience in SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW welding of mild and alloy steel, aluminum alloys, and stainless steels

Mig and Tig Skills required

Perform mathematical calculations required to fabricate complex geometries

Proficient in tooling, jig, and fixture design and fabrication

Ability to run a manual milling machine as well as manual lathe

Be able to trim, file, grind, deburr, buff and smooth surfaces

Ability to solder, bolt, rivet, screw, clip, caulk or bond component parts to assemble products

Be able to operate a manual mill and lathe to build tooling

Good understanding of set‑up techniques
