Job summary

Architectural Openings & Access is seeking a first shift fabricator/welder in our fabrication shop. You will handle cutting, drilling, grinding and welding tasks to support our commercial door and frame projects.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of fabrication and welding experience, can read blueprints, operate common shop tools safely, and lift up to 70 lbs. AWS certification is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year fabrication and welding experience.
• Experience with hollow metal frames and doors preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Familiarity with common shop tools and power tools.
• AWS certification or technical school a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform cutting, drilling, grinding and welding tasks.
• Read blueprints and translate to fabrication work.

• Work in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

We are a growing commercial frame, door and hardware company and we are looking to fill a first shift fabricator/welder position. This position will be responsible for a wide array of tasks including cutting, drilling, grinding, welding, etc.

Qualifications needed are:

• a good attitude, and a willingness to learn and develop new skills
• a minimum of 1+ years of fabrication and welding experience, preferably with hollow metal frames and doors
• Experience with common welding processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience in the safe operation of common shop tools and power tools
• Ability to lift 70 lbs.
• AWS certification or technical school a plus, but not required

Qualified candidates must have a willingness to learn, attention to detail, high standards of quality, able to work well with others, and be dependable. We are a fast-paced and dynamic fabrication shop.
