M. J. Electric, LLC is seeking a Fabricator/Welder in Kentucky to perform fabrication and welding of tooling and machinery fixes for MJ Drilling crews. You will verify materials, inspect equipment, and ensure quality against drawings and specs.

This role requires blueprints interpretation, shop math skills, and 1–2 years of welding experience. Strong safety mindset and ability to work with PPE are essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical schooling preferred.
1–2 years fabrication/welding experience preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and perform shop math.

Responsibilities

Check fabrication and welding against drawings for dimensions and specs.
Verify that used materials meet quality standards.
Inspect incoming materials for quality and conformance to specs.
Inspect welding machines and equipment for accuracy.
Inspect finished products against specifications.
Follow shop floor control procedures.
Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.

About this Role – Fabricator/Welder

We are looking for a talented Fabricator/Welder who has a passion for quality construction. This position is responsible for the fabrication and welding of various types of tooling as well as machinery fixes for our MJ Drilling crews.

What You’ll Do

Checks fabrication and welding with drawings verifying proper dimensions and specifications
Verifies that the proper material was used to construct product
Inspects in-coming materials to ensure quality materials are used to customers standards and expectations
Inspect welding machines and equipment to ensure accuracy
Inspects completed product against specifications ensuring all aspects of quality and accuracy have been met
Follows shop floor control procedures
Follows all safety compliance procedures established by the company
Always work safely using Personal Protection Equipment, such as safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, and other PPE as necessary to comply with safety standards policies
Verifies that proper lock-out/tag-out procedures and precautions have been taken prior to the any service being performed on a machine or piece of equipment
