Job summary

Knoxville Staffing Services is seeking a skilled welder to read blueprints, set up metalworking equipment, and fabricate metal components. The role requires careful interpretation of designs, precise marking for cutting/bending, and strict adherence to safety regulations.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of verifiable welding experience, will pass a welding test, and understands this is a temp-to-perm position with a full benefits package after probation.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering blueprints.
• Construct base templates as needed.
• Measure and mark cutting and bending lines.
• Set up metalworking machinery including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes, shears, plasma, laser cutters, sawing and punching.
• Double check design specifications before starting cutting work.
• Fabricate and assemble metal components.
• Grind and finish completed products.
• Conform with state and company safety regulations.
• Complete job reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• READING AND INTERPRETING ENGINEERING BLUEPRINTS,
• CONSTRUCTING BASE TEMPLATES IF NECESSARY,
• MEASURING AND MARK OUT CUTTING AND BENDING LINES,
• SET UP METALWORK MACHINERY INCLUDING ROLLERS, DRILL PRESSES, FLAME CUTTERS, BRAKES, SHEARS, PLASMA CUTTERS, LASER CUTTERS, SAWING, AND PUNCHING.
• DOUBLE CHECK DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS BEFORE STARTING CUTTING WORK,
• FABRICATING AND CONSTRUCTING METAL COMPANENTS,
• GRINDING AND FINISHING COMPLETED PRODUCTS,
• CONFORMING WITH STATE AND COMPANY SAFETY REGULATIONS,
• JOB REPORT COMPLETION

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM OF TWO (2) YEARS OF VERIFIABLE EXPERIENCE WITH SOLD WORK HISTORY AND ATTENDANCE RECORD. MUST PASS A WELDING TEST. THIS IS A TEMP TO PERM POSITION WITH FULL BENEFIT PACKAGE ONCE PROBATIONARY PERIOD IS MET.
