Your primary focus will be the pre-fabrication of structural steel components. You will achieve this by interpreting detailed blueprints and specifications while operating various welding and fabrication machinery.

Core Responsibilities

Your primary focus will be the pre-fabrication of structural steel components. You will achieve this by interpreting detailed blueprints and specifications while operating various welding and fabrication machinery.

Daily Tasks

• Assist in the fitting and welding process by lifting, positioning, and removing work pieces from bunks and conveyors, with the capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Utilize tape measures to accurately mark reference points for layout purposes.
• Help maintain efficient production flow by manually or crane-transporting stock, tools, and ongoing work.
• Prepare components for transport via jib or crane by securing them with chains and clamps.
• Ensure metal surfaces are properly cleaned and ground to facilitate high-quality fabrication, welding, painting, or shipping.
• Contribute to a tidy shop floor by clearing away scrap materials from active work zones.
• Maintain a safe and organized environment by cleaning tools, machinery, and your designated workspace.
• Safely operate overhead crane equipment to support team production goals.
