Responsibilities:

• Review fabrication materials and specifications
• Set up operations for layout, cutting, beveling, and welding
• Perform layout operations using necessary tools
• Carry out burning, cutting, and beveling to ensure correct dimensions
• Use tools and fixtures to align fittings according to drawings
• Set up and operate welding equipment, including coupling and tubesheet welders
• Assist lower-grade workers as needed
• Maintain equipment and ensure proper setup
• Check for material quality and report defects
• Complete work and remove from rolls or positioners

Qualifications:

• Pass a written competency skills test
• Qualify for ASME Section VIII & IX Code Welding requirements (Metallic Arc, Heli-Arc, Mig)
• Be certified on shop welding procedures for relevant metals, including PED directives
• Demonstrate consistent weld and fit-up quality
• Maintain productivity levels
• Undergo periodic assessment by supervisors and QC personnel
