What Our Location Offers:

What You Will Do:
  • Check material allocated for fabrication against specifications on the Bill of Material or drawings
  • Perform setup operations for layout, cutting, beveling, and welding as required
  • Carry out layout operations using necessary tools
  • Perform burning, cutting, and beveling to ensure correct dimensions and remove slag
  • Use proper tools and fixtures to set up and align fittings per drawings within specifications
  • Set up and operate coupling and tubesheet welders in the DFT line
  • Assist lower-grade welders if needed
  • Ensure proper handling and protection of machines and surfaces during welding
  • Verify setup correctness with inspector if necessary
  • Report defective materials and remove completed work from rolls or positioners
What You Will Bring:
  • Pass a written competency skills test at interview
  • Qualify for ASME Section VIII & IX Code Welding requirements using Metallic Arc, Heli-Arc, and Mig
  • Be qualified on shop welding procedures for carbon steel and stainless steel, including PED directives or other customer requirements
  • Demonstrate consistent quality in welds and fit-up
  • Maintain productivity levels to meet or exceed time estimates
  • Undergo periodic evaluations by supervisors and Quality Control

Additional notes: Candidate must pass a series of weld tests to be hired.
