iWorkforce Solutions is seeking a dependable Fabricator / Painter for our on-site manufacturing facility in Cedar Park, TX. You will fabricate, assemble, prepare surfaces, and apply industrial coatings according to engineering specs and quality standards.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Fabricator / Painter to support manufacturing and production operations. This role is responsible for fabricating, assembling, preparing, and painting components and equipment according to engineering specifications, work instructions, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on fabrication experience, mechanical aptitude, familiarity with measuring tools, and experience preparing and applying industrial coatings. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and meeting production schedules.

This is an onsite, temporary-to-hire opportunity in an air-conditioned manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate and form sheet metal using equipment such as press brakes, CNC laser cutters, shears, drill presses, band saws, water jets, and other shop tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Set up and operate CNC and robotic fabrication equipment.
• Fit, assemble, tack-weld, and mechanically fasten sheet metal components.
• Perform MIG, TIG, and spot welding as required.
• Grind, sand, polish, and finish welds and surfaces to meet specifications.
• Measure and verify dimensions and tolerances using calipers, micrometers, gauges, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools.
• Prepare surfaces for painting through cleaning, masking, sanding, or blasting.
• Mix and apply primers, coatings, and topcoats using appropriate spray equipment and other application methods.
• Inspect fabricated and painted components for quality and perform touch-ups or rework as needed.
• Complete work orders, production travelers, and inspection documentation accurately.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with 5S and Lean Manufacturing practices.
• Follow all company, quality, health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures, including Stop Work Authority.
• Support production schedules, continuous improvement initiatives, and a zero-incident safety culture.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
• At least 1 year of fabrication experience and 1 year of measuring tool experience.
• Two or more years of manufacturing and/or fabrication experience preferred.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication, mechanical assembly, surface preparation, and painting.
• Experience using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and tape measures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tolerances, and material specifications.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including prolonged standing, bending, and regularly lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
• Must meet applicable pre-employment requirements.

Work Environment

• Onsite work in an air-conditioned manufacturing facility.
• Day shift, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, with overtime as required.
