Job summary

LeeBoy is seeking a skilled Fabricator/MIG Flux Core Welder II for our Lincolnton, NC facility. The role involves fabricating and welding frames, subassemblies and components for pavers, brooms, graders, and other road construction equipment.

Requires a minimum of 5 years welding and 5+ years fabrication experience, proficiency with Flux Core, ability to read blueprints and tape measures, and the capacity to lift up to 50 pounds. Full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to weld using Flux Core.
• Read/Interpret blueprints.
• Read a tape measure.
• Use a square.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld frames, subassemblies and components for equipment.
• Position parts in jigs, fixtures or clamps as per layout marks.
• Weld along vertical, horizontal or overhead lines and inspect bead size and specs.
• Chop/grind excess welds, slag or spatter; clean parts as needed.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

About the Role:

The Fabricator/MIG Flux Core Welder II is a full-time position based at our Lincolnton, NC manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for fabricating and welding frames, subassemblies, and components for machines such as asphalt pavers, brooms, graders, loaders, road wideners, tack tanks, and Distributor trucks.

In this Role, You Will:

• Need a minimum of 5 years on-the-job fabricating/welding experience
• Five (5) plus years of experience using Flux Core
• Positions parts in jigs, fixtures on a bench/floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks
• Scarfs or grooves weld prior to applying filler metal
• Applies flux to workpiece instead of filler rod
• Lays out, positions, and tack welds workpiece
• Weld along vertical, horizontal or overhead weld lines
• Examine weld for bead size and other specifications
• Chips or grinds off excess weld, slag, or spatter
• Cleans or degreases parts
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
