Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Fabricator II for the 2nd shift in Cleveland, TN. The role focuses on resistance welding and riveting parts per specifications, with quality checks on welds. You will set up the resistance welder, inspect parts, and ensure safety and process compliance.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate parts using resistance welding and riveting per specifications.
  • Inspect welds and rivets as quality checkpoint.
  • Set up welder: tips, post, arms, tooling, control settings, air pressure.
  • Follow safety policies and wear PPE.
  • Maintain cleanliness and 5S in the workspace.
  • Assist with training new employees as needed.

Additionally, this role serves as a quality checkpoint for the quality of welds and rivets.Job Responsibilities:• Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment• Perform job duties in a manner that follows Eaton’s Quality standards and systems• Resistance weld and/or rivet parts according to prescribed methods specifications• Set up resistance welder to include selecting tips, post, arms, tooling, welder control settings, air pressure, etc.• Inspect parts and quality of welds using a variety of measuring tools• Perform rework operations as required• Interpret orders and drawings to determine procedures and conduct work according to drawing specifications• Work independently and along side others in the department• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas using Eaton’s 5S procedures• Cross-train in various areas of the department and train new employees in the area• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor• Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand throughout working shift and work overtime as neededQualifications:Basic Qualifications:• High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution is required• Must not be on a written or a final written warning• Employees must complete at least six months in their current role before becoming eligible to apply for another position, including the same role on a different shift.
