Essential Job Functions:

1. Follow standard operating procedures and written/verbal instructions in English.
2. Lift up to 50 lbs., be in good physical condition; capable of standing, bending, climbing, and demonstrating upper body and back strength.
3. Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures, including wearing safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toed shoes.
4. Work effectively in noisy environments.
5. Work overtime as needed.
6. Actively pursue cost reduction measures.
7. Complete tasks within designated timeframes and standards.
8. Read a tape measure accurately.
9. Follow safety regulations, recognize, and report safety issues.
10. Develop knowledge of products, options, and uses.
11. Gain experience in all phases of the fabrication area assigned.
12. Learn to operate related equipment.
13. Read and understand drawings, sketches, or verbal instructions for fabrication.
14. Possess the ability to learn MIG or TIG welding and other forms through cross-training.
15. Train new and existing employees.
16. Share department and company knowledge as needed.

Daily Functions:

1. Sand and grind welds and parts.
2. Measure and drill.
3. Identify and organize parts.
4. Weld regularly, including in small areas or truck compartments.

Potential Hazards:

1. Eye injuries from welding; wear appropriate protective gear.
2. Heat exposure; wear PPE at all times.
3. Cuts and burns; use caution and PPE.
4. Trips, slips, & falls; keep aisles clear and use caution.
5. Heavy lifting; seek assistance or use equipment, and avoid walking under suspended parts.
6. Air quality concerns; wear respirator if needed.
