Fabricator Fitter – Advanced MIG Welder & Assembler

Pay: Starting at $21.00/hour

Type: Full-time - Independent Contractor (1099)

Bonus: Up to $100/week based on performance

About The Role

Top Metal Solutions is seeking an experienced Fabricator Fitter capable of reading advanced fabrication drawings, performing precise layout and fit-up, and welding with MIG when necessary. This hands-on, high-responsibility role is ideal for professionals in custom metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret advanced manufacturing blueprints
• Measure, cut, and assemble complex metal structures
• Perform layout, angle cuts, and trace parts for welding
• Use MIG welding for tack and finish welds as needed
• Utilize various tools such as measuring tapes, squares, plasma cutters, grinders, clamps, presses, and magnetic drills
• Fabricate products like racks, skids, pallets, frames, jigs, and fixtures

Qualifications

• Strong skills in blueprint reading and layout
• Experience in advanced metal fabrication
• Ability to MIG weld and manage part prep and assembly independently
• Must have SSN or ITIN, valid ID, and bank account
• Fluent in Spanish or comfortable working in a Spanish-speaking environment

Physical Requirements

• Lift and move up to 70 lbs
• Stand and work for extended periods
• Tolerate heat, dust, and noise in a shop environment
• Wear proper PPE
