Location: Adkins, TX

Pay: Starting at $18.00/hour

Type: Full-time - Independent Contractor (1099)

Bonus: Up to $80/week based on performance

About The Role

Top Metal Solutions is hiring experienced MIG welders to join our fabrication team. We're looking for dependable workers with real shop experience, attention to quality, and the ability to follow welding instructions from basic blueprints.

What You'll Do

• Perform MIG welding in flat and vertical positions
• Work with materials ranging from 11ga to 1"
• Interpret basic welding symbols and instructions from shop drawings
• Identify common welding defects (porosity, lack of fusion, etc.)
• Set up and adjust MIG welding machines (Millermatic 211, 252, 255)
• Follow shop safety rules and maintain clean work areas

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in metal fabrication or welding shops
• Ability to follow welding specs from basic blueprints
• Familiarity with welding equipment setup and operation
• Must have SSN or ITIN, valid ID, and a bank account
• Note: Most of our team communicates in Spanish. Comfort working in a Spanish-speaking environment is important.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and move up to 70 lbs
• Stand and weld for extended periods
• Work in hot, dusty, or noisy shop environments
• Proper use of PPE is mandatory

Please note: This is a 1099 independent contractor position. All hours are paid at the same hourly rate, including overtime. Contractors are responsible for managing their own taxes.
