Advanced Conversion Technology (ACT) is seeking mechanically minded individuals to join our Metal Shop as a Metal Fabricator/Finisher in Middletown, PA. Training will be provided for those new to the trade, with emphasis on fabricating to drawings and applying final finishes.

The role follows safety and quality procedures, involves soldering, and requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Hours are 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday, in a 100% employee-owned company with growth

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic math including fractions and decimals.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn machining.
• Proficient with computers to enter and retrieve data.

Job Summary

ACT is searching for mechanically minded individuals to join our Metal Shop team in aMetal Fabricator/Finisher position. While previous experience is a plus, we will train someone who is interested in learning this trade.

This position will follow quality requirements and safety procedures to fabricate components per drawing dimensions and tolerance specifications as well as solder components and assemblies. The position will also finish machined and fabricated components and apply final finishes to components per print and drawing specifications.

Hours are 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Must Have Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, decimals and fractions
• Mechanical aptitude
• Good computer skills, including the ability to accurately enter, transact and retrieve simple data

Must be able to lift and move objects up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds on occasion. Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time. Must be comfortable working with and around chemicals and odors.
