Job summary

Cleaveland/Price, a specialty manufacturer of high voltage disconnect switches, seeks a General Fabricator for the 2nd shift in Trafford, PA. You will interpret blueprints and work orders to fabricate metal structures using CNC and manual equipment in a safety-conscious, team-focused environment.

Responsibilities include selecting materials, measuring and cutting to spec, operating a range of machines, and maintaining quality with strict adherence to OSHA/ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Knowledge of materials, techniques and tools used in fabrication.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics to understand product assignment.
• Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation.
• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, work orders, and/or schematics to safely construct specified structure.
• Select appropriate material, technique, and tool(s) for each job based on job specifications and requirements.
• Cuts, bends, and shapes metal to required dimensions.
• Measures, cuts, and sometimes welds pieces together according to specifications, blueprints, or directions, depending on certifications).
• Connects pieces or secures seams by riveting, rolling, soldering, or using steel screws.
• Performs assigned work on assembly lines such as punching holes for screws or bending gutters.
• Uses appropriate machinery and software applications to complete assigned jobs.
• Coordinates with other process owners to ensure seamless transition of the production process.
• Uses discretion and sound judgement skills to make independent, task-specific decisions.
• Ensures work practices are compliant with all OSHA and ISO standards.
• Ensures proper utilization of required PPE and task-specific tools and equipment to ensure the highest level of safety for self and others.
• Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
• Follows all company and job-specific safety rules and regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned, such as operating a machine or other related tasks.
