Cleaveland/Price Inc. in Trafford, PA, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector I to verify the quality of fabricated parts and switch assemblies before they move to production.

Position Title: Quality Control Inspector I - FabricationTarget Experience: 1-3 yearsDepartment: Quality AssuranceLocation: Trafford, PAAbout UsCleaveland/Price specializes in the design and manufacture of high voltage disconnect switches and switch automation products. The products that we offer are unique in design, and some include patented features. Products have been developed and tested in accordance with IEEE, ANSI, and NEMA standards for high voltage equipment. They are primarily used by investor-owned and public electric utilities and large industrial operations in substation, distribution, transmission, and generation applications.All company operations take place in a modern 218,300 sq. ft. multi-site facility situated on 20 acres east of Trafford, PA. The facility houses virtually all resources for product realization, including engineering, supply chain, parts fabrication, electro-mechanical assembly, and testing. Fabrication capabilities include laser and plasma cutting, CNC machining, CNC punching, and automated bending and forming. The company is driven by the caring people that we employ: the heart and soul of the Cleaveland/Price product line.Your GoalThe Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality of fabricated parts and/or switch assemblies before they advance to the next stage of production, whether for internal departments or external customers. This role requires meticulous inspection skills, effective use of measuring equipment, and the ability to interpret detailed engineered drawings and manufacturing instructions (MI's). Clear communication across shifts and departments is essential.Your ResponsibilitiesFabrication QC Inspection:Use a variety of measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.Conduct first piece, in-process, and final inspections of fabricated parts.Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of findings.Report nonconformances and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.Ensure all inspected products meet Cleaveland/Price quality standards and customer specifications.Communicate inspection results and quality issues clearly and effectively to other shifts and departments.Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and other relevant teams to aid in resolving identified quality issues.Provide feedback to improve processes and enhance overall product quality.Your BackgroundHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical training in quality control or a related field is preferred.Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in quality control inspection, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing instructions (MI's).Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.Proficiency with MS Office and other job-related computer programs and software for documentation and reporting purposes.Efficient organization skills to track inspections.Strong math, technical and analytical skills.Demonstrated understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.Ability to collaborate and communicate well with others interdepartmentally.Physical RequirementsOccassional sedentary work.
