Job summary

Packer City/UP International in Iron Mountain, MI is seeking Technicians to join our team. We offer a clean, safe environment and growth opportunities in a busy truck dealership setting.

Responsibilities include fabricating, diagnosing, and repairing heavy trucks, wiring and hydraulics, and using diagnostic tools to ensure quality service. A valid driver’s license is required and CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
• 2+ years of Fab experience preferred
• 2+ years of welding experience (MIG/ARC)
• 2 year degree or certificate preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Basic Computer skills
• Positive, friendly attitude with a customer service mindset
• Enjoy working in a fast paced environment
• Team player
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Have a valid drivers license with a clean record
• CDL is preferred

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Fabricator/Technician is responsible for building custom heavy trucks, servicing, diagnosing and repairing trucks

• Includes electrical wiring, hydraulic plumbing, assembling of metal components, fabrication, welding and basic computer skills
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor/ Service Foreman /Service Manger so that customers can be informed if any additional service or safety issues are needed
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Includes electrical wiring, hydraulic plumbing, assembling of metal components, fabrication, welding and basic computer skills
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
