Wildeck in Wisconsin seeks a Fabricator to set up and operate production machines that fabricate stock and custom parts. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, making precise adjustments, and performing routine machine maintenance.

The role requires basic math, blueprint reading, and physical capability to lift heavy parts. OSHA safety gear is required. This on-site position offers health benefits and growth opportunities within a 50-year industry leader.

Qualificações

• One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Read and understand shop drawings or prints.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform basic calculations using a calculator.
• Read and use tape measure.
• Basic computer skills in a windows environment/ERP system.
• Physical requirements include: Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds when turning parts over.
• The employee must wear OSHA approved safety shoes with metatarsal guards, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and grinding and/or cutting shield when using grinder or power cutters.

Responsabilidades

• Reads job specifications from shop drawings or blueprints to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, jig or template.
• Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
• Measures work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
• Stacks, marks, and packs finished work pieces.
• Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dyes, or work pieces.
• Lifts objects by hand, or with a power hoist/crane, or forklift.
