Job summary

Cinco Made, a Texas-based fabrication studio, seeks a hands-on carpenter to support shop and installation teams in building, installing and dismantling event structures and custom builds.

You will cut, assemble, install and read technical drawings, travel to events, and lift up to 75 lbs. A valid CDL/truck-with-trailer or 26 ft box truck is required; weekend/evening work may be needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous carpentry or construction experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with hand/power tools and carpentry equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/plans.
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical stamina with ability to lift heavy materials.
  • Flexibility to work weekends/evenings as projects require.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a truck with trailer or a 26ft box truck.
  • Ability to travel out of state for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with installation and setup of event assets, displays, and signage.
  • Support carpentry tasks: cutting, assembling, finishing wooden structures.
  • Collaborate with installation team to meet quality standards and client specs.
  • Handle tools/materials safely and keep a clean workspace.
  • Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Travel to event locations as needed; often on short notice.
  • Dismantle and pack installations after events and store components properly.

Job Description

Scenic Fabricators at Cinco Made, are responsible for supporting our shop and installation teams in building, installing and dismantling event structures and custom builds. This role requires hands-on carpentry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will be able to efficiently move and handle heavy materials, has experience using hand tools (drills, saws, etc...), and contribute effectively to our installation projects with enthusiasm and reliability.

Job Duties
  • Assist with the installation and setup of event assets, including custom builds, displays, and signage.
  • Support carpentry tasks such as cutting, assembling, and finishing wooden structures.
  • Collaborate with the installation team to ensure all projects meet quality standards and client specifications.
  • Handle tools and materials safely and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Travel to various event locations as needed, often on short notice.
  • Must be able to drive a truck pulling a trailer or a 26ft box truck.
  • Dismantle and pack up installations after events, ensuring all components are accounted for and stored properly.

  • Ability to travel out of state for multiple days at a time.
Contract Information

This is a contract-based per-project position, and you can expect to work anywhere from 10-50 hours per week in a typical week. Contracts can last anywhere from a couple days, weeks or months at a time.
