Job summary

Westlake Chemical Canada is seeking a manufacturing associate to support our production operations in Canada.

You will review work orders, set heaters in bending, follow the production schedule, identify materials by size and color, apply packaging, and perform quality checks.

This role requires basic math, English communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; prior fabrication experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in fabrication is an asset.
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilograms.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand all work orders.
• Setup all heaters in Bending.
• Follow Production Schedule as outlined except in case of backorder.
• Identify and locate material by dimensional size and color.
• Apply correct packaging for finished parts.
• Visual check of parts for damage, report deficiencies to lead hand.
• Report any deficiencies in systems, facilities, machinery, equipment and/or tools.
• Record number of pieces on completed work order.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Management.
