Key Technology, Inc. in Walla Walla, WA is seeking a Fabricator to prepare and shape metal parts using cut-off saws, CNCs, grinders, and punching machines.

You will read blueprints, measure parts, and ensure quality while following safety protocols in a fast-paced environment. The role requires the ability to operate multiple fabrication machines, lift up to 50 pounds, and work across several work centers with occasional stand-up and bending.

POSITION SUMMARY:Fabricators create or prepare parts for other work areas by operating machines such as a cut-off saws, shears, rollers, drill presses, and CNC and punching equipment and hand tools such as grinders, bevel mills, sanders and drills.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Level 1:At all times ensures safety is the top priority while performing any part of your jobUnderstand and follow verbal and written instructions provided by Production SupervisorRead and comprehend basic blueprintsSafely operate hand tools (grinders, bevel mills, drills, etc.)Other duties as assigned.Level 2:In addition to the above duties.Able to obtain needed information from print repository and MRP programsObtain and maintain fork lift certificationIndependent operator of at least 2 fabrication machines (excluding lasers and press brakes)Level 3:In addition to the above duties.Read and comprehend advance blueprintsAble to perform all nut weld processes needed after forming operationsAble to perform all duties related to layout processAble to check completed jobs to ensure that all parts are complete and accurateIndependent operator of at least 3 fabrication machines (excluding lasers and press brakes)Level 4:In addition to the above duties.Assist Lead or Supervisor in maintain Kanban part levelsContribute toward troubleshooting machine operation and assisting maintenance with minor repairsDemonstrates a high level of problem solving by working the Engineers to resolve manufacturability issuesIndependent operator of all fabrication machines (excluding lasers and press brakes)POSITION REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
