Job summary

Reading Truck Fabricator is seeking skilled welders to join our Florida-based manufacturing team. You will weld steel and aluminum, read build sheets, and ensure quality by inspecting welded surfaces and components to spec.

Ideal candidates have MIG welding experience, a high school diploma or GED, and welding certification. This role offers steady on-site work with comprehensive benefits through Reading Truck’s total rewards package.

Job description

Reading Truck Fabricator are responsible for complete fabrication, assembly & welding of raw steel & aluminum into manufactured bodies. Included, but not limited to, cutting & forming raw materials into parts, welding parts together, reading & understanding build sheets & standard work instructions for the various products we manufacture.

The Nuts and Bolts

• Welding steel and aluminum
• Measuring and cutting raw materials to specifications
• Assess welded surfaces, structures and components for flaws

Required Credentials

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Internal or External Weld Certification required
• Welding - MIG (Steel and Aluminum)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE:

• Automotive repair shop atmosphere
• Ability to work in uncontrolled weather conditions (Heat/Cold)
• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours
• Frequent bending, standing, crouching, walking, use of hands & arms
• Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE)
