Job summary

Reading Truck Group seeks a Fabricator to perform welding and fabrication of steel and aluminum bodies. You will read build sheets, form parts, and assemble components to meet product specifications.

Responsibilities include welding, measuring and cutting raw materials, and inspecting welded joints for quality. A high school diploma and MIG weld certification are required or preferred depending on location.

Job description

Reading Truck Fabricator are responsible for complete fabrication, assembly & welding of raw steel & aluminum into manufactured bodies. Included, but not limited to, cutting & forming raw materials into parts, welding parts together, reading & understanding build sheets & standard work instructions for the various products we manufacture.

• Welding steel and aluminum
• Measuring and cutting raw materials to specifications
• Assess welded surfaces, structures and components for flaws

Required Credentials

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Internal or External Weld Certification required
• Welding - MIG (Steel and Aluminum)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE:

• Automotive repair shop atmosphere
• Ability to work in uncontrolled weather conditions (Heat/Cold)
• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours
• Frequent bending, standing, crouching, walking, use of hands & arms
• Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE)
