Overland AI in Seattle, WA is seeking a hands-on Fabricator to build and modify components for our autonomous off‑road vehicles. You will fabricate structural parts, perform TIG and MIG welds, and integrate parts on prototype and early-production builds, working closely with engineering and production teams.

This role requires 1–5 years of fabrication experience, proficiency with aluminum and stainless steel, and ability to read drawings.

Role Summary

Overland's vehicle production team is seeking a Fabricator to help build and modify components for our autonomous off-road vehicles. You will fabricate precision structural and suspension components, execute critical welds, and integrate parts directly into vehicle platforms throughout prototype and early-production builds.

Working closely with engineering and production teams, you will help translate designs into field-ready hardware in a high-mix, low-volume production environment. This is a deeply hands-on role for someone who enjoys working on the shop floor at the intersection of skilled fabrication, prototyping, and vehicle-level problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate precision structural components, chassis elements, and suspension parts for autonomous ground vehicle platforms.
• Cut, shape, and form aluminum and steel sheet and tubing to exact tolerances.
• Execute structurally sound TIG and MIG welds on critical performance components.
• Interpret technical drawings and engineering designs to produce low-volume production parts and prototype assemblies.
• Test-fit, modify, and integrate fabricated parts into various vehicle platforms, collaborating with engineering to resolve fit and function issues.
• Inspect all welds and structural fabrications for safety, strength, and field readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement across fabrication processes through hands‑on experience and feedback from the engineering and production teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1 to 5 years of professional fabrication experience.
• Advanced proficiency in TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel, with knowledge of metal properties and filler selection.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• Expert use of tube benders, notchers, bead rollers, finger and press brakes, and plasma cutters.
• Strong spatial reasoning with the ability to engineer fabrication solutions on the fly and adapt to process changes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Motorsports, competitive power sports, or defense vehicle fabrication experience.
• Basic proficiency with CAD software for part modeling or blueprint interpretation.
• Manual or CNC machining skills, including operation of mills, lathes, and laser cutters.
• Hands‑on, floor‑oriented problem solver who thrives in fast‑moving environments.
• Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating across engineering and production teams.

Location:

This position will work onsite at our production facility in Seattle, WA.

Pay Range:

Fabricator I: $24.50 - $36.25/hourly

Fabricator II: $36.25 - $48.00/hourly
