Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions in Massachusetts seeks a Fabricator to support production on site in Southbridge. You will provide general labor to aid manufacturing and follow blueprints and assembly instructions.

Responsibilities include preparing material for the next step (deburring, drilling, tapping), assembling parts, assisting the CNC operator, and keeping the work area clean and safe. A high school diploma and 2 years general labor experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years general labor experience in manufacturing.
• Able to read and interpret manufacturing blueprints.
• Able to use multiple hand tools.
• Able to follow verbal and written work instructions.
• Adhere to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare material for the next process step per instructions.

• Assemble by measuring for location and fastening parts.
• Assist the CNC operator in loading/unloading material on the router table.
• Keep the manufacturing area clean and recycle where applicable.
• Assist the materials group with kitting of project parts.

Position Summary

The Fabricator is responsible for assisting and providing general labor to

production to aid in the manufacturing of MEI products.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare material for the next process step. This includes deburring plastic,
  drill and tapping holes, straightening tubing, and cutting material to length.
• Preparing all parts and sub-assemblies for work to be accomplished using
  assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists.
• Assembling by measuring for the proper location and fastening parts to
• Assist the CNC operator in loading and unloading material on the router table.
• Keep manufacturing free of debris and dirt by sweeping, collecting trash,
  collecting and sorting recycling.
• Assist the materials group with the kitting of project parts when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education)

• Minimum 2 years general labor experience preferably within a manufacturing
