Job summary

Gasbarre Products, Inc. in Saint Marys, PA seeks a Fabrication/Welding technician to perform welding, shearing, bending, burning and routine machine maintenance under the direction of the Fabrication Foreman.

You will handle production tasks to meet schedules, operate overhead cranes and forklifts, maintain a clean work area, and communicate with the Fabrication Supervisor daily while following safety procedures and blueprints.

Qualifications

• Welding degree preferred, but not required.
• Experience in stick, fluxcore, short arc, carbon arc gouging, and TIG welding along with soldering is highly preferred.

• Communicates departmental information to Fabrication Supervisor on a daily basis or as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Welding and fabrication skills
• Ability to read, interpret, and fabricate according to blueprints
• Communication (including both written and verbal)
• Willingness to follow both instructions and direction
• Show proficiency in basic mathematics and have ability to read measuring equipment (tape measure, square, etc.)
• Ability to perform all essential functions of this job

Qualifications

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:**

Physical Requirements

Lifting a maximum of 50 pounds. This job requires extensive amounts of walking, standing, sitting, squatting, kneeling, climbing as required to effectively perform the job.
