Job summary

Jobot is seeking a skilled Fabricator in North Canton, Ohio to transform raw materials into precise components and assemblies. You will read blueprints, operate plasma cutters, press brakes, and machining equipment, and perform MIG/TIG welding to ASME standards.

Qualifications

• Proven construction site experience or manufacturing background with hands-on fabrication skills.
• Proficiency in MIG & TIG welding methods.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with calipers, tape measures, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment.
• Knowledge of ASME codes & standards for welding and fabrication processes.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
• Mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, rigging procedures, and assembly techniques.
• Sheet metal experience a plus.
• Machining experience a plus.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely within a construction or manufacturing environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate components.
• Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other materials.
• Perform MIG and TIG welding techniques to join metals according to ASME codes & standards.
• Use calipers and tape measures to ensure dimensional accuracy of fabricated parts.
• Execute pipe threading, frame/guard manufacturing, and assembly of mechanical components with rigging and mechanical knowledge.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols for construction sites, crane operation, forklift handling, and power tool usage.
• Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects involving plasma cutting, press brake operations, machining, soldering, and assembly tasks.

Job Details

Duties

• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate components.

• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and tape measures to ensure dimensional accuracy of fabricated parts.
• Execute pipe threading, frame/guard manufacturing, and assembly of mechanical components with rigging and mechanical knowledge.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to construction site practices, crane operation, forklift handling, and power tool usage.
• Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects involving plasma cutting, press brake operations, machining, soldering, and assembly tasks.
