ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Fabricator who can independently build, modify, and repair equipment, fixtures, and fabricated components. This position is best suited for someone with several years of hands‑on experience who can take a routine project from a drawing, sketch, or concept through completion with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate is dependable, resourceful, and capable of producing quality work without needing to be a highly specialized or senior‑level fabricator.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Fabricate components, frames, guards, fixtures, carts, and other equipment from drawings, sketches, measurements, or verbal instructions.
  • Measure, lay out, cut, drill, bend, fit, weld, and finish a variety of materials.
  • Perform MIG welding and other welding processes as required by the work.
  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and basic weld symbols.
  • Select appropriate materials, tools, and fabrication methods for routine projects.
  • Set up and safely operate saws, grinders, drills, welders, and other fabrication equipment.
  • Complete assigned projects independently while meeting quality and schedule expectations.
  • Troubleshoot fit‑up, alignment, and fabrication issues and make practical corrections.
  • Repair and modify existing production equipment, fixtures, and related components.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
  • Communicate material needs, project concerns, and completion status.
  • Work effectively with maintenance, engineering, automation, and production teams.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Three or more years of professional fabrication or welding experience.
  • Ability to complete typical fabrication projects with limited supervision.
  • Proficiency in MIG welding and experience working with steel and other common fabrication materials.
  • Ability to read drawings, take accurate measurements, and perform basic fabrication layout.
  • Working knowledge of common fabrication tools, equipment, and safe work practices.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and practical problem‑solving ability.
  • Ability to produce consistent, functional, and visually acceptable welds.
  • Dependable, self‑motivated, and able to manage multiple assignments.
BONUS SKILLS WE PREFER
  • Technical school, trade school, or welding certification.
  • Experience with TIG welding, plasma cutting, press brakes, mills, or lathes.
  • Experience fabricating equipment, tooling, or fixtures in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of machining, pneumatics, hydraulics, or industrial equipment.
  • Experience working from CAD‑generated drawings.

Physical and Work Requirements

This is a hands‑on position that requires standing for extended periods, lifting and positioning fabrication materials, and working around welding, grinding, and industrial equipment. The employee must be able to safely lift, and handle materials associated with the work and consistently use required personal protective equipment.

What Success Looks Like

The successful candidate is a practical, well‑rounded fabricator, not necessarily a master welder or highly specialized expert. They have enough experience and confidence to work independently, make sound fabrication decisions, communicate when additional direction is needed, and consistently deliver safe, functional, quality work.
