Job summary

Surge Staffing is seeking a dependable Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The candidate will read blueprints, measure materials, and use a range of fabrication tools to produce quality metal products. The ideal applicant is detail-oriented, hands-on, and committed to craftsmanship.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, operating shop equipment, performing welding as needed, inspecting work, and maintaining a safe workspace. Prior fabrication experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints and interpreting specifications.
• Ability to read and use measuring tools accurately.
• Experience operating fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Welding experience is a plus.

• Measure, cut, drill, grind, and assemble metal components to specifications.
• Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, grinders, drill presses, shears, and other shop machinery.
• Perform MIG, TIG, or stick welding as needed (depending on experience and job requirements).
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and dimensional accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.
• Assist with additional shop duties as assigned.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
