Job summary

MAAG Group is a multinational manufacturer of gear pumps, pelletizing, and filtration systems serving polymer, chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries. The Fabricator role supports setup, operation, and maintenance of metal/plastic fabrication processes on a dual office/factory floor site.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, attention to detail, and ability to read blueprints, operate forklifts, and work with aluminum, steel, and stainless steel components in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical blueprint reading is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Controls machines and processes to operate fabrication equipment.
• Reads blueprints and prepares materials for processing.

Main position objectives

The Fabricator position will set up, operate, saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal or plastic material.

• Controls machines and processes using direct physical activity to operate machines or processes.


• Handles and moves objects using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.


• Inspecta equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of problems or defect.


• Performa physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.


• Lifta raw materials manually or using hoist.


• Measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills.


• Ability to distinguish material types including Aluminum, Steel & Stainless Steel.


• Uses computers and computer systems to program and setup functions, enter data, or process information.


• Provides a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task


• Ability to multitask


• Keep work area clean and organized

Work Environment

Work in this position is both in an office and a factory floor environment, either locally or at a customer site. While performing the duties of this job in a factory setting, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and PPE may be required.
