Job summary

Technimark LLC in Asheboro, NC is seeking a hands-on maintenance technician to support automation projects and machine fabrication. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to learn automation systems, machining, and electrical basics.

You will fabricate parts, assemble automation systems, coordinate with suppliers, and assist with start-ups, with up to 30% travel.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate parts for automation systems.
• Support automation projects for TM locations globally as required.
• Travel up to 30% per year.
• Machining parts for automation systems (CNC and manual mill/lathe).
• Assemble new automation systems.
• Generate cost-saving opportunities related to automation and present to management.
• Coordinate automation activities with outside suppliers.
• Manage time schedules to meet production needs on new automation machines.
• Procure purchase orders for shop supplies.
• Assist in production start-ups related to automation machines.
• Assist other divisions with various automation parts as needed.
• Ability to make parts in a lathe and milling machine.

Enrolled in or completion of maintenance apprenticeship program a plus. Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer experience. Certification in Lock out tag out training. Basic electrical knowledge needed. Mig welding, cnc and manual machining.

• Responsible for fabricating parts for automation systems.
• Responsible for supporting automation projects for all TM locations globally as required.
• Travel requirement may be up to 30% per year
• Responsible for machining parts for automation systems cnc and manual mill and lathe.
• Responsible for assembly of new automation systems.
• Responsible for the generation of cost saving opportunities related to automation and the presentation of this to management on a regular basis.
• Coordinates automation activities with outside suppliers.
• Manages time schedules to meet the production schedule needs on new automation machines
• Responsible for procurement of purchase orders for shop supplies
• Assists in production start-ups as related to automation machines
• Assists other divisions with various automation parts as needed.
• Ability to make parts in a lathe and milling machine.
