Job summary

Staffmark Group in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Fabrication Welding Associate to join our manufacturing team. You will fabricate, join, and repair metal components while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will read blueprints and welding symbols, set up equipment, perform spot-welding, and inspect finished welds. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience welding on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or other metals.
  • Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
  • Knowledge of welding equipment setup, welding techniques, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to measure, fit, and prepare materials prior to welding.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Operate spot-welding equipment to join metal components per specifications.
  • Set up and adjust welding equipment, fixtures, and machine settings.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and measurements.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal components using hand and power tools.
  • Position, align, and secure parts before welding for accurate assembly.
  • Inspect welds and fabricated parts for quality and dimensions.
  • Perform basic grinding, deburring, drilling, cutting and related tasks.
  • Use measuring tools such as tape, calipers, and gauges.
  • Identify defects and make necessary adjustments or corrections.

Job Duties
  • Operate spot-welding equipment to join metal components according to specifications.
  • Set up and adjust welding equipment, fixtures, and machine settings as needed.

  • Fabricate and assemble metal components using hand and power tools.

Education Requirements

  • Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
  • Knowledge of welding equipment setup, welding techniques, and safe operating procedures.
  • Ability to accurately measure, fit, and prepare materials prior to welding.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, structural welding, or production environments is preferred.
  • Experience using grinders, saws, cutting equipment, and metal fabrication tools is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of weld inspection, blueprint interpretation, and quality control procedures is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate craftsmanship, dependability, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Fabrication Welding Associate.
  • Previous spot welding, MIG welding, fabrication, or metal manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in welding positions throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift metal components, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely wear welding helmets, gloves, and required personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to safely work around welding equipment, sparks, heat, and fabrication machinery while following established safety procedures.
