Job summary

GOODFELLOW CORPORATION is seeking a Fabrication Welder to read fabrication drawings, prep materials, and perform MIG and TIG welding to create safe, accurate metal components. You will inspect completed work and maintain shop organization while supporting production goals.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, work orders, weld symbols, and specifications to plan fabrication work.
• Perform MIG and TIG welding, fit, tack, weld, and assemble metal components and structures.
• Produce welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions with proper penetration and appearance.

Responsibilities

• Measure, mark, position, clamp, and align components to specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Use grinders, torches, fixtures and handling equipment safely and correctly.
• Inspect welds and assemblies for dimensional accuracy and conformance to drawings.
• Identify defects and report or correct issues before proceeding.
• Follow safety requirements and wear required PPE.
• Coordinate with supervisors and team members to meet production priorities and deadlines.
• Participate in training and continuous-improvement activities.
