Qualifications

• Must pass a welding qualification test.
• Experience reading blueprints and welding symbols.
• Experience MIG welding carbon steel and stainless steel.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Fabrication Welder I requires 1–3 years; II requires 3–5+ years.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, shop prints, and welding symbols.
• Layout, fit-up, assemble, fabricate, and weld structural and custom assemblies.
• Fabricate skids, platforms, supports, frames, and miscellaneous structural components.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, alignment, and assembly orientation.
• Perform weld preparation including grinding, beveling, fitting, and material preparation.

DIRECT HIRE POSITION

Pay/Hours · $25.00 - $34.00/hour · 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM · Overtime Required. Typical work week is 45 – 50 hour

What You’ll Do

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, shop prints, and welding symbols
• Layout, fit-up, assemble, fabricate, and weld structural and custom assemblies
• Fabricate skids, platforms, supports, frames, and miscellaneous structural components
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, alignment, and assembly orientation
• Perform weld preparation including grinding, beveling, fitting, and material preparation

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a welding qualification test
• Experience reading blueprints and welding symbols
• Experience with MIG welding of carbon steel and stainless-steel
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Fabrication Welder I 1-3 years of welding and/or fabrication experience preferred
• Fabrication Welder II 3-5+ years of fabrication shop experience preferred
• Experience with layout, fit-up, and fabrication of structural assemblies preferred
• Experience operating fabrication equipment such as press brakes and plate rolls preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools
• Ability to wear required PPE, including welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and protective clothing
