Fabrication Technology-Operator II-1st Shift

This position is based in Springfield, TN. The shift starts at 3:00 am and ends at 1:30 pm, Monday through Thursday. The role supports the production line and follows production needs.

Your main tasks:

• Operate various heavy equipment and monitor processes to ensure proper application of fabrication standards.
• Contribute as a team member to team projects.
• Check parts for imperfections, troubleshoot processes, and perform minor preventive maintenance on machines.
• Conduct safety and lead checks, operate start/stop presses, load jobs, and manage die operations.
• Load steel coils, adjust straighteners, make alignment changes, and manage scrap and lubrication levels.
• Identify coils, control feeder accelerations, and operate micrometers, calipers, and HMS controls.

Qualifications:

• Communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Pass Lock out/Tag Out procedures prior to job bidding.
• Be a Yellow Gear or obtain certification within 6 months of basic skills training.
• Follow established procedures and guidelines to manufacture products according to specifications and schedules.
• Operate machines and equipment safely and according to instructions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Be capable of team lifting packages over 35 lbs and less than 71 lbs.
• Handle repetitive twisting, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, and bending.
• Spend extended periods on your feet.
