Job summary

Fives North American Combustion, Inc. in Cleveland, OH is seeking a permanent, full-time Fabricator (layout) to join our manufacturing team. The role covers brake press, welding, and layout, with emphasis on reading blueprints and delivering quality metal work.

You will operate and set up CNC press brakes and roll forming machinery, inspect parts, mark layouts, and ensure conformance to specifications. A background in welding/fitting (5–10 years) and D1 certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years welder/fitter experience or equivalent
• 5+ years forming experience
• D1 certification or related certifications preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications
• Ability to use precision measurement tools to verify conformance

Responsibilities

• Operate brake press / slip roll forming machines and monitor tool life
• Weld and finish metal parts, perform thermal cutting and grinding as needed
• Read blueprints to determine sequences, mark layouts and develop fixtures
• Inspect completed workpieces for defects and sort accordingly
• Set machine stops, adjust dies and align components for multiple passes
• Ensure parts meet tolerances using micrometers, gauges and calipers
• Record operational data and maintain safe operation of equipment
