Eaton's Hodges facility is seeking a Fabrication Technician IV (Robot Weld) for the 3rd shift to operate and optimize robotic welding systems. You will troubleshoot and adjust robot paths to maintain weld quality on 6-axis robots and welding cells.

Candidates need a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of robotic welding experience; familiarity with ABB or similar robots, MIG/TIG welding, and HMI knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in robotic welding or automated welding environments.
  • Ability to follow all safety policies and wear proper PPE; committed to 5S+ in the area.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain robotic welding systems (6-axis robots, welding cells).
  • Modify robot paths, touch-ups, and offsets to ensure weld quality.
  • Perform basic robot programming and troubleshooting.
  • Work with maintenance/engineering to resolve automation issues.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery.
  • Utilize calipers, gauges, or other measuring devices to ensure engineering standards.
  • Comply with environment, health, and safety guidelines; sustain 5S+ in area.
  • Report any safety issues to team lead, supervisor, or manager.

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Fabrication Technician IV (Robot Weld) - 3rd Shift at our Hodges, SC facility.The core hours are Monday through Friday from 11:30 pm - 7:30 am.The rate for this position is $22.83 per hour + $1 per hour shift premium.This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:The Fabrication Tech (Robot Weld) will operate, troubleshoot, and optimize robotic welding systems. This role requires hands-on experience with robotic weld cells, welding processes, and the ability to adjust robot paths and programs in real-time.In this function you will:• Operate and maintain robotic welding systems (6-axis robots, welding cells)• Modify robot paths, touch-ups, and offsets to ensure weld quality.• Perform basic robot programming and troubleshooting.• Work with maintenance/engineering to resolve automation issues.• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery such as oiling, manual clamp adjustments, and clamp/finger replacement.• Utilize calipers, gauges, or other measuring devices to ensure engineering standards.• Comply with the environment, health, and safety guidelines.• Sustain 5S+ in area.• Be responsible for following all safety policies and procedures, complying with WSRA’s, and wearing proper PPE. Any safety issue identified should be reported immediately to team lead, supervisor, or manager.Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution.Minimum of 1 year of experience in robotic welding or automated welding environments.Eaton will not consider applicants for employment, immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
